LG G6, leaked pictures, release date, chips, expandable storage and waterproof
LG image leaks
The previous LG G5’s design is proven very controversial with its ‘LG friends’ modular system, which allows users to swap parts of the phone to achieve additional functionality. Unfortunately, the system landed mixed critical reception and is largely ignored by users for its extra cost.
The other controversial aspect of the LG G5 is its building material, it’s been suggested by many that the body of the phone felt like plastic, well it turned out that LG actually built the phone with metal but for some unknown reason, it’s been paint with a layer of plasticky material. Fortunately, it’s confirmed that the LG G6 will be built out of metal, through and through.
When does the LG G6 come out? it’s been confirmed the LG G6 will be announced at MWC 2017 at Barcelona on February 26, 2017. Unfortunately, the exact date when it hits the stores is still unknown.
Will there be a SD card slot? It’s been confirmed that LG G6 support expandable storage.
Why not snapdragon 835? LG G6 will come with a snapdragon 821 chip inside, which is by no means a weak Soc, it will also have 4GB of RAM, plus a meaty 32GB internal storage. It was suggested that Samsung bagged the initial run of the 835 chips, and LG was forced to use the older and less powerful 821 chips.
Will the phone be waterproof? Though not confirmed, a few of the teasers shows the phone walk unscathed through water and rain, so yes it’s waterproof, although it remains to be seen whether it will be the highest ip67 or inferior.
