Zynga’s game portal claim independence from facebook

Zynga didn’t hesitate too much launching its very own game portals after last week’s announcement. Zynga.com is now up and open for business. Now you will be able to play a few titles outside facebook, that include CityVille, Words With Friends, Hidden Chronicles, CastleVille, and Zynga Poker, but you still need to log in with your facebook ID. This portal could have serious implication on both zynga and facebook – while facebook gets 12% percent of its revenue from zynga games. The game company currently depends on the social network for “substantially all” of its income.
