Google fiber stretch its wings, hold back by wifi limitation

A vegan cafe in Kansas has been endowed with the Google fiber, secretly, for several months. Theverge performed a few tests and found, as expected, speeds were hold back by the limitation of wifi network. The struggle peaks to 160mbps, much lower than the advertised 1G per second speed. The fine folks conducted the test also mention that the HD playback became lagging where there’s another player enters the ground and claim his share of bandwidth. The 1000M internet service is bundled with TV streaming, it’s unlikely that streaming 1080P movies will take up a big chunk of your 1GB bandwidth.

It’s worth mentioning that the test is anything but scientific, also the files were downloaded from sites with notorious download speed like apple.com.
